Baker & Daniels' lawyers have been instrumental in developing a pro bono program in Indiana appellate courts. Our professionals initiated a pro bono program in the state's appellate courts under the auspices of the Appellate Practice Section of the Indiana State Bar Association.
The program has provided pro bono counsel to approximately two dozen litigants in state appellate courts over the past 30 months. A screening committee, which includes representatives from Baker & Daniels, reviews pro bono appellate filings and connects certain pro se appellants and appellees with pro bono counsel. Lawyers from Baker & Daniels and several other Indiana firms have represented clients through this program.
