From Baker & Daniels' founding nearly 150 years ago by two former Indiana governors – one Democrat, one Republican – bipartisanship and political involvement have been part of our institutional makeup. No group reflects that tradition better than our government services team. Three Baker & Daniels lawyers have served in the Indiana General Assembly as well-known and well-respected legislators. One served as Republican Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee. Combined, our team professionals bring more than 70 years of experience to the practice.
That experience is complemented by the other professionals in our group, all of whom have worked in key staff positions for the General Assembly or former Governors – on both sides of the aisle. Our political involvement is equally as deep. Various Baker & Daniels group members have served in recent campaigns as campaign managers for Republican and Democratic gubernatorial candidates, and they've worked on staff for both major political parties.
